Fachgebiet Augmented Reality (FAR) at the Technische Universität München deals with augmentating the real world with virtual information. The design of user interfaces is a very important part of the research at FAR in order to allow an intuitive interaction via these interfaces.

In SpeedUp, FAR  provides the necessary knowledge on user interface design, usability and mobile Human  Computer Interaction.  FAR supports relief workers and the operation control with mobile and stationary user interfaces to guarantee rapid rescue and medical care for all patients involved in the accident.

The research focuses on the design of mobile and stationary user interfaces, in order to facilitate efficient use of mobile and stationary devices in time-critical, life-threatening and unstable situations.
